Hot Air Balloon

Hot Air Balloon

I’m gonna start this post by saying the universe works in mysterious ways.

These past couple weeks of the beginning of the New Year have been very testing. I have gone through lots of moments of stress of not believing in myself and overthinking EVERYTHING. When you want something so bad you literally just feel it in your heart, almost like this burning flame that never goes out. When you decide to pursue something so crazy all this fear sets in and I’m not totally fearful but it’s definitely there. I think mostly it’s just fear mixed with excitement, but there’s also this fear mixed with not wanting to let people down and let myself down. You have to have a lot of faith in yourself and the most important person to believe in you is YOU. You have to block out all the negativity and all the people telling you otherwise and just do it for you.

Today I was wrapping up my singing lesson and driving home and as I was driving home I saw this Hot Air Balloon across the way and I got this weird feeling. It was a good feeling but weird, almost like Nostalgia or De Ja Vu, but not quite either of those either. I’m someone who is greatly affected by energy and astrology and I believe heavily in it, which leads me to believe the universe is always giving you things at moments when you need them the most. I know most of you are going to find this so silly and so weird, but I looked up the Metaphysical meaning behind Hot Air Balloons and here’s what I came upon…

” Hot air balloons are messages of ascension in spiritual form and what is needed at this point. Be open to the changes now happening to you, move forward as you are guided. Opportunities are now coming forward for you to climb aboard. Dreams will begin to flourish and you are ‘asked’ to consider the expansions that are being offered to you.

Do not fear the changes taking place, as these are for your highest good at this time. If you find that any frequency presents itself to you in a way that pulls at your energy rise above it. ”

This explains what I was feeling to the absolute T. If anything I’ve learned in the last couple weeks it’s never ignore signs from the universe. They are trying to tell you something. So listen. Everything that happens is happening to you to make you grow and so you can learn, things in life are either a lesson or a blessing. img_3952img_4179img_3974img_3975img_3985

The Estee Edit

Hello Lovelies today I’m bringing to you my thoughts on these products from The Estee Edit, which is brought to you by Estee Lauder. They wanted to bring beauty with a new attitude, Curated by their guest editors of the moment, created by YOU! Estee Lauder is an amazing brand and they create amazing products that are great for the skin.
To start off I’ve been SO into being glowy and highlighted from day to night, Literally glowing to the gods and these products do just that.

This product is a 2 in 1 hydrating cream for a luminous glow. It has two levels of illumination in the bottle, open the tube and you have the cream and then open the bottom of the cap and you have another highlighter you can just pat on top of your cheek bones for the added glow!
This stuff is amazing, I’ve been wearing it underneath my makeup and it makes your skin just look so luminous, healthy and beautiful. It has subtle hints of a bronze shimmer which is perfect for summertime. It also really smoothes out your skin to prep before makeup. IN LOVE!
This retails at Sephora for $42

This is a complexion hybrid that pairs hydrating skincare ingredients with instant illumination.

This is a very high impact highlighting cream that instantly illuminates the skin as well as hydrates. This is much more hydrating in comparison to the Beam Team. They are totally different ends of glory products. This one is very similar to MAC’s Strobe Cream. I have the lightest color in this called spotlight, it comes in 5 different colors. You can also mix this with your body lotion for an all over body glow. Beautiful under makeup as well!

Let me start of by saying… This product is literally a miracle product. I have oily skin and VERY large pores in my nose and cheek area. This glides onto the skin and INSTANTLY blurred all of my pores, they were literally invisible. It was almost like it was an automatic smoothing filter on my skin like a photo. I was so amazed. My makeup went overtop so beautifully and so smooth.
You can use it alone, as a primer or anytime throughout the day to touch up your makeup overtop. The outer core has oil absorbing powders and the inner core a sheer pigment that fits all skintones.

These lipsticks are a hybrid of a lip balm and a lipstick infused with muru muru butter and real flower petal waxes for the ultimate baby soft nude lip. This is a very moisturizing lipstick and glides on perfectly, the color range is all nudes. More so brown nudes, all very beautiful and it has a slight fragrance as well. I find these last all day long, when they wear down they kind of leave a beautiful stain.

Spring/Summer Makeup

Hello lovelies, today’s post is a makeup post on the makeup I wore in my last photos! Since I’m a makeup artist after all I need to be doing more of these photos. I just find that every day makeup it is tough to get really good photos of, because lets face it all these photos you’re seeing on Pinterest and Instagram aren’t realistic most of the time. Especially all these “clown contours” and SUPER Intense color correcting. Working for the amazing company I do, I’m here to tell you… You don’t need all of that and there are ways to do color correcting without drawing all over your face and doing it where it’s not needed. I love the artistry behind makeup and how something you feel that day, you can just apply it to your makeup look. I understand all these trends to a certain extent but there are so many more beautiful trends for makeup out there right now that need to be highlighted.
There is a trend for Spring/Summer that’s been seen on the runway called “Crayon” where you take one color and apply it to one feature of your look and make it really stand out, I did a more subtle take on it today and made it very Monochrome with all the orange and bronze colors which are MY FAVORITE all time colors to work with.
This look is very easy to recreate as I used two colors for my eye shadow on on the lid and one blended through the crease. All products listed below are from MAC:)
